Urban Jungle Bloggers . Planty Table Setting

This month topic for URBAN JUNGLE BLOGGERS is a Planty Table Setting. I loved the idea of playing a bit with plants and plates on our table together with ceramics, vegetables and flowers too of course...Normally i use blue and white plates (look at the background), but this time i challenged myself to look for anything but blue and white. Couldn't resist to use a blue West Germany vase though and it suits well with my other thrifted planters and vase. Got the Nicolas Vahé dressing and vinegar bottles for my birthday, together with the green marble tile. Last one comes from Bolia just as the black cutlery. The golden pineapple candle holder is from Rice DK and makes a nice contrast.

I still like our Industrial Grey kitchen wall a lot, but for the next picture i took a white canvas and placed it between kitchen and table. White backgrounds in my pictures are often a canvas. It's perfect to give the subject a bit more attention and it brightens the colors and brings more light.

Check HAPPY INTERIOR BLOG and JOELIX to see how Igor and Judith, founders of Urban Jungle Bloggers styled their planty tables.

Next picture is how the setting looks like from a distance. We are so lucky to be surrounded by greens where we live. I had plans to dress a table outside, keep that for another time, since it was a bit rainy today...

Have a nice week!

Milan Designweek 2016 III . HAY

My third 2016 Milanpost is about HAY. The Danish design brand has always a cool presentation at Designweek. This time tennis hall La Pelota, became a kind of minecraft zone. With blocks where you could walk in, but also walk on. Very nice. I liked the use of colors.
There was also a mini market ('Yay' for Hay! ;)) and a restaurant with chef Frederik Bille Brahe. Perfect that we where there around lunchtime!

I liked the vases at HAY. The zebra vase is called Trunk and designed by Richard Woods for Wrong for Hay. The vases are handpainted.

What i loved most of the whole Hay hall? The outside area! How urban jungle can it be. Such a cool spot surrounded by balconies and garden with greens and filled with huge plants and the wonderful and stylish garden furniture designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The best place for a very delicious and healthy lunch in sunny Milano.

Over Urban Jungles gesproken.

Hopefully we get some warm and sunny days here as well. This Milanese warmth...hmmm. Have a nice week!
Komt vast.
Fijne week!

Milan Designweek 2016 II . Atelier by Republic of Fritz Hansen

Time flies...i must have mentioned this earlier (and i probably will mention this many more times)... Can't believe it's already a month ago since i was in Milan to visit the Milan Designweek 2016. I shared an apartment with the bloggers Vosgeparis, C-more, beeldSTEIL and Bungalow5 and we've seen so many beautiful things, i came back loads of pictures and inspiration and i will share a few of my favorite spots and things i saw here on my blog.

First night we visited the opening night at CasaVitra. You can check it HERE. And as i write this i'm almost of to the Dutch showroom because of the Meet the Blogger Masterclass Photography & Visual Storytelling taught by Andres and Joyce of On a Hazy Morning. They will share their skills and tricks about (mobile) photography and i'm sure all attendees will have a good time between the beautiful Vitra design while learning and practicing.

But back to Fritz Hansen at Milan. Fell in love in a second with this gorgeous terrace made of wooden blocks and painted seats. With the church as a background it couldn't be a better setting. Inside the studio it was also a very pretty place.

Also beauty (and greens) inside! OMG...big, big love for this messing and glass vase #wishlist.

Have no room for a table like this at home...or maybe i can ask my hubs and kids if we can have our future meals on the floor ;))

Christine Rudolph again was responsible for the styling and she did a great job. I love her style and the way she combined the Danish design in a studio kind of atmosphere with the greens and flowers, collections and natural materials. Check this LINK for last years apartment.

Every place in Milan we visited had an art collection. I love the way prints, pictures and frames are displayed here. And the marble tables in this Republic, aren't they lovely. Definitely will add some marble somewhere in our home too...The dozens of frames we already have.

Mirror mirror on the wall...ps it's not me in the pic.
I made one in a mirror in another place (a very luxury design apartment styled by Rosanna Orlandi) Will share that one on my blog too, but first more terrace inspiration.

Makes me very happy.
Enjoy your weekend! I will, and i will start enjoying it tonight. Hopefully on our terrace that definitely needs a bit more of this. But first...my birthay ;))
